Review:

Bogart's in Cincinnati, Ohio, was transformed into a haven for punk rock enthusiasts as Less Than Jake took the stage, supported by the dynamic sounds of Strung Out and the energetic opener The Raging Nathans. From the moment the first chord rang out, the crowd was swept up in a whirlwind of nostalgia and adrenaline, as Less Than Jake kicked off their set with the iconic "Hello Rockview" album played in its entirety. The audience was transported back in time as classic tracks like "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads" and "History of a Boring Town" echoed through the venue, evoking a sense of youthful exuberance and rebellion. Less Than Jake's performance was nothing short of electrifying, with infectious energy radiating from every member of the band as they flawlessly executed each song with precision and passion.



As the final chords of "Hello Rockview" faded into the night, the crowd erupted into cheers, demanding an encore. Less Than Jake did not disappoint, returning to the stage for a six-song encore that left fans craving more. From the ska-infused anthem "The Science Of Selling Yourself Short" to the punk rock fury of "Gainesville Rock City", each song ignited a frenzy of excitement, with the band feeding off the energy of the crowd and delivering a performance that was as exhilarating as it was unforgettable. As the final notes rang out and the lights dimmed, there was a palpable sense of satisfaction lingering in the air, a testament to the enduring power of punk rock and the unbridled joy of live music. Bogart's had been transformed into a sanctuary of sonic rebellion, and for one unforgettable night, fans reveled in the cathartic release of music that spoke to their souls.

Side note though in almost 25 years of photographing shows I have never had to BUY a ticket to cover a show until this one!! That being said it was a great show, and I am glad I covered it!!
