Dalton Rudman of Wellington, Utah, dominated the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event at Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio, claiming the Dayton Rumble championship in front of a boisterous, packed Buckeye State crowd. Rudman sealed the win with two flawless rides, beginning with his Round 1 triumph over Chain Breaker (Nothin’ But Try Ranch/Diggers Bucking Bulls), earning him an 87-point score and a share of the round win. He then defended his leaderboard spot by riding Homegrown (Topline Steel Buildings/Barrett) for an 86-point ride, clinching the event with a much-needed 118 Velocity Global points.

Following closely behind Rudman was Newport, North Carolina’s Brandon Chambers, earning 83.5 Velocity Global points, after his fourth-best score of 83.5 points aboard Magnitude (Sho-Me Rodeo/Diamond W) in Round 1, and a fantastic 87-point ride on Blessed (Nothin’ But Try Ranch/Diggers Bucking Bulls) in the championship round, propelling him to second place.

Abingdon, Virginia’s Carlos Garcia earned the third spot with an impressive 87.5-point ride on Chief (Sho-Me Rodeo/Diamond W) in the championship round after a sixth-place score of 82.5 points in Round 1 with Feeling Dangerous (Nothin’ But Try Ranch/Kinser/McCall). Garcia earned 78 Velocity Global points for his outstanding performance.

Alex Marcilio of Macaubal, Brazil, and Lane Lasley of Marshall, Arkansas, tied for fourth place. Both Marcilio and Lasley tied with Rudman in Round 1, each logging an 87-point ride atop Happy Gambler (Cash Money Bucking Bulls) and Light It Up (Nothin’ But Try Ranch/Kinser/McCall), respectively. Unfortunately, their hopes of victory ended when Marcilio was upended by Buckwheat (Prophet Bucking Bulls) in 5.4 seconds, and Lasley was tossed by Black Tie (Cash Money Bucking Bulls) in 3.47 seconds in the final round.

The event's Bull of the Event title went to Sugar Smack (Julian Cattle), who bucked off Poa, Brazil's Marco Eguchi in a quick 3.52 seconds in the championship round, scoring a tour stop-best 44 points.
